DORIN approved after careful internal and external tests 4 HFO blends, verifying efficiency, economy and retrofit capabilities on existing plants. These refrigerants, non-flammable and non-toxic, are classified in safety group A1.
The refrigerant R449A, has been authorized as a substitute for R404A and R507A. It is a mixture of R32 (24.3%), R125 (24.7%), R1234yf (25.3%) and R134a (25.7%), with a GWP of 1.397.
The refrigerant
R448A, is designed to replace R404A and R22. It uses the same components of the R449A with the addition of a small amount of R1234ze, with such a composition: R-32 (26%), R125 (26%), R1234yf (20%), R134a (21 %) and R1234ze (7%). It has a GWP of 1.273.
The refrigerant
R513A, is a binary
azeotropic mixture of R134a and R1234yf, used for retrofit on R134a. It has a GWP of 630.
The refrigerant
R450A, is a binary
azeotropic mixture of R134a and R1234ze; it can be used for R134a substitutions. It has a GWP of 604.
In January 2017, the first requirements of the
UE 517/2014 on F-Gas came into force. In the light of this, after four months, the prices of HFC refrigerants up to now used, and first of all R404A, have risen disproportionately and the forecast trend will continue to rise.
DORIN has historically been a major supporter of the use of CO2 as alternative refrigerant with GWP equal to 1, which over the years has supported the use of Hydrocarbons (such as R290 and R1270) with a GWP between 3 and 5.
Today
Dorin has integrated in the
Dorin Software 4 new low impact on the ozone (low GWP) for retrofits of existing plants and for the design of new operating systems in the long term, to support the work of its customers and users.
We are talking about HFO blends named
R449A,
R448A,
R450A and
R513A.
